Trading Up?...

Microsoft clip art
As I sewed the borders on the 2011 Butterfly quilt last night, my mind began to consider....

I had just finished the Jacob's Ladder quilt and had pinned the label on the back to be sewn down.  I set it aside and began sewing the borders on the butterfly quilt.

I thought to myself... "now I need a machine that could do a little bit of embroidery... that way I can stitch out my labels instead of writing them out with permanent marker..."

This of course is added to the wish list I have with a long arm quilting machine on it.    But seriously... got to thinking about it... I think I'll search for a sewing machine that I can use for sewing and just a little bit of embroidery.

The long arm quilting machine is still on the list... that one I will have plan and budget for. :)

  2. I completely understand...

I will have to add on to my house or buy a bigger one when I get a long arm machine. lol

I have done a little research on a new sewing machine with embroidery capability. I think I am going to have to save up or cut back on some of my spending now to get one. :) It will be worth it.

  3. Yeah for southpaws! When I first started blogging I blogged under “Southpaw.” Thanks for stopping by earlier (and the advice.)

  4. I would love a long arm machine but don't see that happening in my future. There are many inexpensive embroidery machines out there - perhaps you can even find a used one so you can create your personal labels.

  5. Holly, it seems the older I get the more southpaws I find. :)

  6. Linda, Thanks for becoming a follower!

I hope I can find a machine that I want and can afford. I know I will, I just have to keep looking until I find the one for me. :)
