A Small Quilt and Banana Bread

I woke up this morning and decided to make banana bread today.  The recipe is below.  It is an older recipe  with a white batter.

While the bread was baking, I bound a small quilt.

This banana bread recipe is from my Favorite Recipes of America Desserts, 1968.

Banana Bread
Nancy Troop, Gardiner, Me., Pittston Fair

1/2 cup butter or Crisco
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 bananas, mashed
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon soda
dash of salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (I used pecans)

Cream butter; add sugar gradually.  Beat in eggs; add bananas.  Beat well.  Add flour sifted with soda and salt; add nuts.  Bake 40 -50 minutes in bread tin in a 350° oven.

Have a great weekend!

God bless and keep you,
