I walk in this body of flesh,
Knowing one day I'll be free.
There was a time of darkness,
Confusion and fear,
The light ahead I could not see.
Feeling unworthy,
Knowing certain death,
Begging, pleading,
Praying for release
From the chains upon my breast.
I was then comforted,
With a soothing balm to my soul.
I'm loved,
I'm forgiven,
I'm alive.
For I was protected,
By grace through it all.
A beautiful poem, by a beautiful soul.
