Here are the blocks used in the small afghan pictured on the Home page.

The Honeycomb block.  Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are a honeycomb sweet to the sol and healing to the bones.

The Crown block.  Proverbs 12:4 An excellent wife is the crown of her husband...
The Basket block. Amos 8:1 Thus the Lord God showed me, and behold, there was a basket of summer fruit.
The Stars block. Genesis 1:16  He made the stars also.
The Leaf block. Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.

The Rib block. Genesis 2:22 And the Lord God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man...

This snail is made but taking two crocheted circles and a crocheted diamond shape, and a single crocheted tail doubled over.  stitch a circle to two sides of the diamond, then folding the diamond shape in half so that the two circle are wrong sides facing, stitch around to close it up, leaving a small opening for stuffing.  Stuff and stitch closed.  Attach the tail and add detail for the head.

This owl is made with five circles.  Take two circles with wrong sides facing and stitch together, leaving a small opening for stuffing. Stuff and stitch closed.   Take a circle and wrap it around one side of the stuffed circles so that is resembles a wing and stitch it down. Do the same for the other side. Then take the last circle and wrap it over the top of the stuffed circle and wings so that it resembles the head and stitch it down.  Now decorate each side of the head with different faces.  You can do asleep/awake, like I did or something different, like happy/sad.

This bag was made by making the foundation chain double the width of the bag size.  I don't remember the number of stitches I used but the bag is 9" wide and 14" tall.
Row 1: dc next 3 stitches, ch 3, skip next 3 stitches, dc next 3 stitches, across.
Row 2: dc across.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 through out until the desired height.
Fold the piece in half and stitch closed the bottom and side. Take three strands of yarn, double the length of hands and chain, then attach to the bag.  Add drawstring or other closure of your choice.

Tunisian Crochet... This is something I have recently tried out.  It is a cross between crochet and knitting.  You load loops of yarn on the hook like in knitting and then you close or work the loops off the hook.

I was going to make Audre a slouchy beanie to wear.  I bought a pattern book, followed the pattern... It called for a 14" hook.

When I was done, I realized something was wrong.   The pattern was sized too big for her, too big for me and even too big for my husband David, but it works great as a seat cover for my sewing chair.  I can't help but chuckle.

So, I will find a different pattern to follow and try again to make Audre a hat.  :)

Here are some newborn caps I have crocheted as a baby shower gift.  This is the first time I've made caps and I like that they are quick to do.

This has to do with the Etc. part of the this page.  :)

I learned how to make a bow.  Using the template in the picture below I wrapped ribbon around the points to make the bow.  I found out the firmer ribbon for gift wrapping is better for this project than regular ribbon.

We are having a wedding shower at work tomorrow.  I asked the young lady, for whom the shower is for, if she would like some crocheted cotton dishcloths.  She said she would and in Fiesta colors.  I had trouble finding "fiesta" colors, so I a giving her a set of six that are brightly colored.  I have several made already and then crochet these two.
